From the Bride…
As soon as we toured Rancho Las Lomas, we both pretty much knew this venue was the one. The greenery, trees and wildlife played into our love of the outdoors. It really fit the bill for what we were imagining. We were drawn to the natural, bright elements; without it feeling too rustic. I really wanted the day to convey whimsy and romance with touches of playfulness. As an animal lover, I was definitely drawn to the venue. I wanted to use that element as part of our décor, to invite in some fun, without it being too over the top. I had the groomsmen wear some animal socks, had watercolor animals on the table numbers and handed out animal crackers to my departing “party animals.”
In planning our wedding, it was important to capture both of our cultures. We had the traditional Persian sofreh aghd blended into our traditional American ceremony. Our sofreh had many symbolic items, each representing an element our new lives together. We also had a typical Japanese toast to weave in part of my husband’s heritage as well, BONSAI! Our photographer Christina, Hello Blue Photo, captured everything magically. After meeting with her, I knew I would be choosing her to capture our big day. I liked that she seemed on the ball and organized. She addressed all the right questions and wanted to make sure we were a good fit for each other. The natural lighting and attention to detail shined throughout. Since the wedding gets so hectic, it was nice that all of her pictures included the details so that we could catch things we may have not seen. Her ability to keep calm through the craziness was the cherry on top!
