The couple wanted a natural, soft, whimsical background to exchange their vows, and thus chose Serra Plaza in the historic downtown San Juan Capistrano. Sierra Plaza was the perfect location, with a weathered water fountain tucked neatly under the chandeliers and market lights of their courtyard, surrounded by beautiful foliage, and with chiffon draping exuding a modern elegance that flirted with all the days emotions.

All guests were invited to an intimate reception where friends and family shared the couples favorite meals in large, family-style portions including: crabmeat and asparagus soup, honey walnut prawns, lobster with garlic noodles, scallops with mushroom and spinach, deep fried crispy duck, sweet and sour fish filet. and ending with a wide array of their favorite cakes that would make any sweet tooth beyond satisfied.

From the first look of the bride and room, to the graceful youth of the flower girls, to the candle-lit dancing, Vivian and Felix’s wedding day was one to be cherished in their family for generations to come.

From the Bride…

I envisioned my wedding day to be classy, elegant, and romantic. I also liked the natural, soft, whimsical look and knew that I wanted to incorporate rustic touches to the decor. With the help of Julep Bloom Design, Amne helped me bring that vision to life with her organic and romantic floral design.

After calling and meeting up with dozens of wedding photographers, I met Christina and connected with her personality and style. From our engagement pictures to our wedding day, she produced some of the most gorgeous pictures. Christina was so wonderful to work with – she was sweet, genuine, and captured our most special moments beautifully.

We wanted our wedding pictures to retell our wedding day to our kids and grand kids. I was looking for a wedding photographer who shared the same vision I had for my wedding pictures – fresh, ethereal, and romantic.

We took a tour of Serra Plaza and immediately knew this was going to the venue for us – the chandeliers, market lights, and water fountain were beautiful. I wanted to exchange our vows outdoors and Serra Plaza had the perfect location in the courtyard near the water fountain draped in beautiful foliage and florals. The chiffon draping also made the wedding so soft, flirty, and romantic.
